Adrift - 2025-2026 Summer Gospel Camp
2026-06-24

The 2025-26 Gospel Camp ‘Adrift’ was held from 24th June to 26th June 2026 at the YWCA Sydney Leung Holiday Lodge, Lantau Island. Altogether 64 students attended the 3-day camp organised by our school’s Student Fellowship committee members and teacher-advisors. Students were accompanied by Ms. Sze Fong, Mr. Yu Wan Yui, Ms. Ng Shan Shan, Ms. Chu Hiu Ying, Ms. Choi Yea Reong, Ms. Tam Ying Wai, Mr. Poon Ka Chun and Mr. Paul Cowden.

Students enjoyed a series of exciting group tasks and challenges throughout the Gospel Camp, including a blind night walk, in which groups were blindfolded and led around the camp grounds before being separated and forced to rely on their other senses to reunite; The Pharmacist, a scavenger hunt activity finding “ingredients” around the camp site for “potions” while strategically placing “trap” ingredients for other groups; and a deduction game of completing group challenges in exchange for clues to identify students in the camp whose name tag they had to steal.

Shalom, the student praise team, led camp attendees in singing praises regularly, and students also attended evangelical sharings by Student Fellowship committee member Jasmine Chow (5D), who shared her powerful personal testimony of losing and re-finding her faith in Christ, and by Reverend Amos Poon of Crown of Thorns Church, who encouraged students to find sure footing by trusting in the Lord in the midst of their busy lives as students.

Several activities gave attendees opportunities for self-reflection and creative self-expression, including designing and decorating photoframes containing photo highlights from their groups’ activities, as well as in noting selected Bible verses to encourage them after the camp.

The Gospel Camp was an engaging experience for all attendees, allowing them to build new friendships, strengthen relationships, and enjoy exciting activities, all while nurturing their spiritual growth by being directed to pursue Christ. We are sincerely grateful to our Student Fellowship committee members, led by Chairpersons Yoyo Lee (5E) and Luby Yeung (5C), for their hard work in preparing this year’s camp activities, and we invite all students to join the Student Fellowship in the coming school year for further spiritual and interpersonal growth.
