The English Award Scheme (EAS) team hosted a successful games day for all Form 1 students on 30th September. This gave the new students a chance to get to try new games and get to know each other whilst playing. They also got to know the EAS team a bit better as EAS helpers were there to help explain rules and play along. There were a mixture of games to test out, including Angry Birds, Jenga, Boggle and more! Everyone got to try a game for 10 minutes before they switched to something else, and once a student had tested 6 different games they were able to claim a prize!

Many new games were taught and new friendships were formed between classes as students got to know each other by explaining the rules of games to one another and experiencing some competition amongst each other (especially for those playing Geistes!). Students also got a chance to practise their English speaking skills by chatting to the EAS team and playing some English word based games, such as Scrabble. All of the games used during games day can be found in English Corner and are available to play during recess or lunch.
