Three teams of LamWooers participated in the 24th Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition, and all of them achieved excellent results in "Secondary School Research and Invention". The competition is currently the largest, oldest and most representative STEM competition in Hong Kong. It is also reputed as the cradle of youth scientists.
A team of F.5 students was awarded the Third Prize in the Computer and Information Technology Category (Senior Secondary School) with their innovation "Smart Carpark", and another two teams of F.1 students were awarded the Merit Awards in the Computer and Information Technology Category (Junior Secondary School) and the Mathematics and Engineering Category (Junior Secondary School) respectively.
The three winning projects have been nominated to represent Hong Kong to participate in a national competition - the 17th Soong Ching Ling Awards for Children's Invention.
